Dear colleagues,
Abstract submission for the International Symposium on Auditory and Audiological Research (ISAAR 2025) is now open at:
www.isaar.eu. We invite scientific contributions from across the fields of auditory and audiological research.
ISAAR 2025 will take place August 20-22, 2025, in Nyborg, Denmark, and will feature four overarching themes with the following invited speakers:
- The auditory brain
Ed Bartlett, Marc Schönwiesner, Anne-Lise Giraud, Giovanni Di Liberto - Multisensory perception and communication in real-world environments
Janina Fels, Stephanie Lovich, Christopher Davis, Ivana Konvalinka - Computational audiology, AI and auditory profiling
Nicholas Lesicka, Mareike Buhl, Jenelle Feather, Tobias Goehring - Novel hearing technologies and compensation strategies
Varsha Rallapalli, Zheng-Hua Tan, Richard Hendriks, Ina Kodrasi
We are also delighted to announce a keynote lecture by Jessica Monaghan.
In addition to the main themes, we welcome contributions on a broad range of topics, including perceptual and physiological measures of auditory function, measures of hearing loss, auditory modeling, hearing-instrument signal processing,
aided outcome measures, multi-sensory speech perception, communication in complex environments, advances in neurotechnology, and cognitive auditory neuroscience. Contributions aligned with the symposium themes may be considered for either an oral presentation
or a poster. Contributions outside the four main themes will be considered for poster presentations.
Abstract submission
For ISAAR 2025, the conference proceedings will consist only of abstracts. Authors interested in submitting a full written account of their work are encouraged to contribute to the ISAAR special issue series in Trends in Hearing (https://isaar.eu/special-issues/).
Abstract submission deadline: 15. May 2025
Notification of acceptance: 15. June 2025
Scholarships
The ISAAR committee offers a limited number of scholarships for young scientists (e.g., students, postdocs, and others). The scholarship covers the symposium fee, including full participation and accommodation. Travel expenses are not covered.
Conference fee
The participant fee is DKK 6000 (approximately EUR 800) and includes symposium participation, full accommodation (single room, 2 nights: Wed-Thu-Fri), all meals and social activities during the symposium.
ISAAR is generously supported by the William Demant Foundation.
