Ph.D. (hearing sciences or audiology) at The University of Texas at Austin

 

My laboratory at the University of Texas at Austin has an opening for a fully funded Ph.D. position for Fall 2025 (https://slhs.utexas.edu/research/ut-care-lab/team)

 

The area of work is very broad: human hearing and hearing loss; Examples (not an exhaustive list): auditory neural systems, auditory signal processing, cochlear mechanics, hearing development, otitis media, etc. Sample publications for an overview of the scope of the work.

 

Candidates with audiology or speech/hearing sciences backgrounds can apply, and students with biomedical or electrical engineering backgrounds interested in signal processing, time-frequency analysis, etc., are especially encouraged to apply. Undergraduate students with exceptional qualifications are also welcome to apply.

A special funding package can be made available to students from groups underrepresented in STEM.
