[AUDITORY] Postdoc Openings in Auditory Neurophysiology and Behavior

Dear colleagues,

The Henry lab has openings for Postdoctoral Researchers in Auditory Neurophysiology and Behavior at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. We use neurophysiological recordings and behavioral approaches in an animal model to better understand the neural bases of normal and impaired hearing. Postdoctoral positions are available to (1) test the impact of cochlear synaptopathy on auditory processing of brief acoustic cues and (2) investigate neural mechanisms for amplitude-modulation perception in fluctuating background noise.

Our lab is part of an active and collaborative group of hearing and balance researchers at the University of Rochester spanning the Departments of Otolaryngology, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Mechanical Engineering, and others. Applicants should have a PhD in a related field and experience in auditory neurophysiological recordings, psychophysical experiments, and/or modeling. Positions are supported by NIH-NIDCD funding and are not restricted to US citizens.

Please send a statement of interest and CV to kenneth_henry@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks and best wishes, Ken
