[AUDITORY] Postdoc position in the neural basis of auditory perception and cognition at the University of Central Florida

Dear Colleagues,

I would appreciate if you would please share this with potentially interested trainees.

The CASA (Conscious Audition and Scene Analysis) Lab at the University of Central Florida (Orlando, FL) is looking to hire a postdoc to work on projects related to the neural basis of auditory perception and cognition. The lab uses a combination of neurophysiological, behavioral, and computational methods to explore a wide variety of human auditory neuroscience questions. We are particularly interested in someone with experience and/or interest in any combination of M/EEG, MR spectroscopy, or biophysical modeling of M/EEG signals. Additional interests in hearing or aging would be assets.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and growing hearing, speech, and voice group in the Communication Technologies Research Center at UCF located in the Central Florida Research Park, a short distance from the UCF main campus. Shared resources include seven double-walled sound booths, a fully anechoic chamber, three free-field sound arrays, multiple EEG, fNIRs, and eye-tracking systems, state-of-the-art acoustic stimulation/recording equipment, and “live lab” with modifiable acoustic properties. MEG and (high-field) MRI are possible via local, national, and international collaborations.

Orlando is a diverse, vibrant, and affordable city with world-class amenities in a beautiful natural setting, close to beaches, national forests, fresh-water springs, and the Space Coast.

Those interested can email andrew.dykstra@xxxxxxx to discuss details.
