[AUDITORY] Academic Postdoc in AI/ML Applied to Voice, Speech, Gait, and Eye Tracking at Mayo Clinic in Rochester

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher (up to 5 years) in AI/ML to join us in the Neurology AI Program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. We are accumulating hundreds of voice/speech recordings in our patients each month, as well as quantitative gait and eye tracking data. We have federal funding to use these to detect and monitor disease, for example:

 

* Voice/Speech: Develop deep learning models using remote voice recordings to monitor neurodegenerative diseases like frontotemporal dementia.
* Text: Apply natural language processing to transcriptions to detect early signs of Alzheimer's disease.
* Gait Analytics: Predict falls and response to interventions using quantitative gait metrics.
* Eye Movements: Use eye-tracking data for prognostication in atypical parkinsonian disorders.

 

As noted in the job posting, a candidate with proficiency in python is preferred, but most signal processing / engineering / physics / statistical backgrounds will be accepted. Given the strong focus on speech/voice and audio based AI/ML, I thought this list would be a good one to share the opportunity with:
