[AUDITORY] Special session on “Panel on Remote Testing” at the 187th Meeting of the ASA (Virtual)

Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to submit abstracts to a special session on “Panel on Remote Testing” at the 187th Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America (Virtual Meeting).

Remote testing is now not only a viable but also a popular option to collect and gather data in the field of hearing science. To follow up on the initial discussion on remote testing (https://pubs.aip.org/asa/poma/article/42/1/050009/959567/Remote-testing-for-psychological-and-physiological) within the ASA community, we would like an update on the following topic areas related to remote testing:

  • Additional validation work for remote testing as a general methodology
  • Current and future utility of remote testing as a tool for curating data for areas including basic research, clinical assessment, and public health, etc.
  • Future thoughts on the handling of large datasets from remote testing

The session will be 2 hours, with virtual podium talks followed by a panel discussion. Please find additional information on the virtual meeting and abstract submission at (hyperlink removed to avoid spam filters): https://acousticalsociety.org/asa-virtual-fall-2024/

Thank you, and we look forward to your contribution in this exciting area!

Sincerely,
Erol Ozmeral and Ellen Peng
