Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

We sincerely invite you and your organization to participate in the "Multi-modal Dysarthria Severity Assessment Challenge," co-hosted by the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as part of the 14th International Symposium on Chinese Spoken Language Processing (ISCSLP 2024  http://www.iscslp2024.com).

This challenge is a pioneering initiative aimed at developing objective assessment methods for automatic diagnosis and severity evaluation of dysarthria, a condition stemming from neurological disorders that significantly affects individuals' communication, work, daily life, and education.  The challenge will focus on a four-class classification task and will utilize the "Mandarin Subacute Stroke Dysarthria Multimodal (MSDM) Database" to facilitate research and development efforts.

Important Dates:

- Leaderboard Closes: July 6, 2024

- Paper Submission: July 20, 2024

We encourage participation from all interested parties, including universities, research institutes, and businesses.  You may register on behalf of your organization and find further details on the official website: https://huanraozhineng1.github.io/MSDM/.  Exceptional teams will be recognized with a Conference Award Certificate, the opportunity for Conference Session Presentation, and eligibility to submit a paper.

We believe that your expertise and contributions will greatly enrich the challenge and help advance the field of pathological speech technology.
