We are looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team. The detailed description of
this position is listed below. Description of the Position The Auditory Electrophysiology Lab at The Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at The
Ohio State University is seeking a skilled and motivated postdoctoral researcher.
The projects use electrophysiological measures to evaluate neural encoding and processing of electrical stimulation at both the peripheral and
the central levels of the auditory system in adult and pediatric cochlear implant (CI) users. The long-term goals of this research are to understand mechanisms underlying variations in CI outcomes, and to develop an effective, evidence-based clinical practice
for managing CI users who cannot provide reliable behavioral responses. Skills and Qualifications The successful candidate will hold a PhD
in biomedical engineering, hearing science or related field. Experience in cochlear implantation, auditory electrophysiology, computational modeling is desired. Other desired qualifications
include paying attention to details, good writing skills, and willing to work with listeners across a wide age range.
