We use current analysis methods including multivariate pattern classification or cognitive modeling. The Institute for Medical Psychology is part of the Interdisciplinary Center for Neuroscience Frankfurt (ICNF) and a member of the Frankfurt Brain Imaging Center (BIC).

What do we expect from you:

• Establishment of an independent research program that ties in with the institute's research focus.

• Planning, implementation, evaluation and publication of empirical studies

• Participation in grant applications

• Supervision of medical doctoral students and psychological/neuroscience bachelor's, master's or doctoral theses

• Teaching in medical psychology (in German)

Your profile:

You have successfully completed a doctorate in psychology, biology, (cognitive) neuroscience or a related subject. You have experience with presenting scientific results at conferences and with publishing research results in international journals. Good programming skills (e.g. Matlab or Python) as well as knowledge in the areas of (auditory) perception and working memory are also desirable.

We offer:

• Remuneration according to pay group 13 (TV-G-U)

• Excellent methods infrastructure at the Brain Imaging Center Frankfurt

• Opportunities for further scientific qualification and participation in scientific conferences

• Positive and family-friendly working environment

The university advocates equal rights for women and men and therefore strongly encourages women to apply. Severely disabled applicants will be given priority if they have the same personal and professional suitability.
