Dear list members, Inter-Noise 2024, the 53rd International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering, will be held in Nantes, France, from August 25 to 29, 2024 at La Cité Nantes Congress Center. The
congress is being organized by the French Acoustical Society (Société Française d’Acoustique, SFA) in cooperation with the French Information Center on Noise (Centre d’information sur le Bruit, CidB). On behalf of the Technical Program Committee for Inter-Noise
2024, and in recognition of your research and reputation in the field of machine listening, we cordially invite you to present an invited paper in Session 16.7 entitled “Machine Learning for Acoustic Scene Understanding”. The session will specifically present and discuss contributions about environmental audio analysis tasks such as sound event detection and acoustic scene classification as well as practical challenges
in acoustic monitoring application scenarios such as industrial audio analysis, urban sound monitoring, and bioacoustic monitoring. Inter-Noise 2024 will be a good opportunity for you to share experience and to gain valuable exposure within the global community in noise control engineering. The conference program will be structured
to maximize scientific discussions, including parallel technical sessions and keynotes focused on the core topics of Inter-Noise and on the theme of the congress: from Jules Verne’s world to multi-disciplinary approaches in acoustics & noise control engineering.
Poster sessions will also be proposed with dedicated flash presentations. The industrial exhibition will be organized at the heart of the congress venue and technical workshops will be proposed.
Please note that invited speakers at Inter-Noise 2024 must still register for the conference as usual and that all normal conference fees are applicable. Your abstracts should be submitted through
the congress website https://internoise2024.org/authors/. Instructions for authors are to be detailed on the website. All important dates are given below.
