[AUDITORY] Purdue SLHS PhD information sessions and application

Purdue SLHS is recruiting PhD students for the next year -- information session and application details below-

PhD program in Purdue Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) at Purdue University invites applications for our Ph.D. program. The Purdue SLHS program is among the largest and highest-ranked of its kind and is home to leading research faculty, outstanding facilities and resources, and, most importantly, a supportive training environment for our graduate scholars.

Faculty engage graduate scholars in interdisciplinary research on normative and disordered processes in speech, language, voice, swallowing, and hearing. Doctoral students are fully funded through a variety of sources, including individual fellowships (at the university and national level), two NIH training grants, research assistantships, and teaching assistantships. Students receive individually-tailored training, and students from our program have an exemplary history of moving into impactful research-oriented careers.

We will be hosting two virtual breakout sessions about our program.

  • Session 1: October 12th from 9-10am EST.
  • Session 2: October 17, 3:30-4:30pm EST.

Join in either session to meet and engage with our faculty, and chat with current PhD students. Click here to RSVP for a session, a zoom link and additional information will be shared to those who have signed up.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact potential faculty mentor(s) directly. Visit this document for individual faculty who are recruiting this year. Application instructions can be accessed here

Applicants should apply by January 1st.

We are committed to preparing the next generation of scientists that reflects the diversity of our national and global community.  We welcome applicants from diverse and under-represented backgrounds.
