A postdoctoral position is immediately available under the supervision of Prof. DeLiang Wang in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Ohio State University. The postdoc project seeks to develop
multimodal, multi-channel algorithms to perform speaker separation in noisy and reverberant conditions, in order to substantially elevate separation, localization, and automatic speech recognition performances in real-world conditions. More specifically, the
candidate will investigate deep learning methods for robust speaker separation by leveraging audio and visual inputs. The project also aims for causal and lightweight neural networks to facilitate real-time on-device implementation.
The appointment will be initially for one year, with potential extension for 2 two more years. The position carries competitive compensation, and the successful candidate will join a leading laboratory in
deep learning based speech separation. To apply, send a cover letter, CV, and contact information for 2-3 references, to DeLiang Wang (dwang (at) cse.ohio-state.edu). Applications received by August 31, 2022 will be given full consideration, and later applications
will be considered until the position is filled. ------------------------------------------------------------ DeLiang Wang, Professor Co-Editor-in-Chief, Neural Networks Department of Computer Science and Engineering The Ohio State University 2015 Neil Ave. Columbus, OH 43210-1277, U.S.A.
