[AUDITORY] RESEARCH FELLOW (Shore Lab University of Michigan)



JOB SUMMARY

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of Prof. Susan Shore to study neural circuitry underlying hidden hearing loss (cochlear synaptopathy).  The position is funded by an R01 award from the National Institutes of Health (NIDCD).  Salary will be commensurate with the NIH scale for postdoctoral fellows, starting at $54,835).  The Research Fellow will participate in a highly collaborative environment within and outside the Kresge Hearing Research Institute at the University of Michigan. Multichannel electrophysiology, tract tracing, immunohistochemistry, noise exposures, behavioral and optogenetic techniques will be incorporated in this investigation. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

·       Ph.D. in neuroscience, bioengineering or related discipline.  Preference will be given to applicant with experience in electrophysiology and behavioral techniques.

·       The applicant should have excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills.

BACKGROUND SCREENING
