Dear list, (apologies for cross-posting) We are pleased to announce the Music & Hearing Health Workshop, which will take place at the University of Oldenburg on Oct 6-7, 2022. The goal of the 2-day workshop is to bring together young researchers and established scholars from the fields of hearing science and music in order to create a dialogue on topics related to music, hearing, and health. The workshop will include keynote presentations by Deniz Baskent (University of Groningen) and Chris Plack (University of Manchester), poster presentations, several sessions with invited speakers, live music, and round table events. The workshop is open to the public. Submissions may address (but are not limited to) the following topics: - Hearing impairment and music perception - Music perception with hearing aids or cochlear implants - Individualized music processing - Individual differences in music perception and production - Music-related interventions to improve health or quality of life Please submit a 200-300 words abstract of the work you will communicate with your poster. Make clear your aims, hypotheses, methods, and results of your work. Abstracts will be submitted via the workshop website. Submission deadline is July 25, 2022.
