[AUDITORY] VCCA2022 - deadline for abstract submission approaching (26.04.22)
Dear list,
this is to remind you of the VCCA 2022 submission deadline on April
26th. Please find the call for abstracts at
https://computationalaudiology.com/vcca2022-call-for-abstracts/.
On behalf of the conference chairs and of the scientific committee, I
cordially invite you to submit your work at
https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/VCCA2022.
The program is taking shape now, please check the program highlights at
https://computationalaudiology.com/vcca2022-program-highlights/. In
addition to keynotes, featured talks and contributed talks/posters, we
will have four special sessions, which I think cover highly relevant
aspects of current research in Computational Audiology:
Remote audiology
Chaired by Prof. Erick Gallun, Dr. Ellen Peng, and Prof. De Wet Swanepoel
Predictive coding
Chaired by Dr. Bernhard Englitz, Dr. Emma Holmes, and Prof. Floris de Lange
Machine learning for hearing devices
Chaired by Zehai Tu, Prof. Jon Barker, and Prof. Trevor Cox
Virtual reality for hearing research and auditory modeling in realistic
environments
Chaired by Dr. Axel Ahrens, Dr. Maartje Hendrikse, and Prof. Lorenzo
Picinali
I hope this raises your interest, registration will open soon!
Kind regards,
Volker

Dear list,
we are pleased to publish the call for abstracts for the 3rd Virtual
Conference on Computational Audiology (VCCA2022
https://computationalaudiology.com/event/vcca2022/). Important
conference dates are:
- February 1st: Call for abstracts
- February 18th: Abstract submission system opens
- April 26th: Abstract deadline
- May 12th: Decisions communicated (acceptance/rejection)
- June 8th: Deadline submission of video recordings and slides
- June 30th 4pm-10pm CEST / July 1st 8am-1pm CEST: Conference
The conference format will be similar to previous years. Internationally
renowned scientists will present their proceedings in research on the
multiple aspects of the application of computational approaches to
audiological diagnostics, intervention, and rehabilitation.
As in the previous editions, we will organize a competition for young
scientists for the best talk, and a competition for the best video
pitches. We continue to strive to be the platform where young talents,
innovators, clinicians, and seasoned experts share ideas, have
opportunities to network, and get inspired.
The topics include:
- Big data and AI in audiology and hearing healthcare
- Computational approaches to improving hearing
devices and auditory implants
- Data-based and model-based investigations into hearing loss
- Hearing diagnostics and rehabilitation
- e-Audiology and e-Research (remote hearing healthcare and
virtual audiological care and interventions)
We are happy to announce a special session on predictive coding,
organized by Bernhard Englitz, Emma Holmes and Floris de Lange, which
will cover physiological, theoretical and cognitive aspects of
predictive coding.

We are looking forward to your submissions!
