[AUDITORY] PhD Studentship: Music, Metaphor, and Cross-sensory Associations in Communication [open to home applicants only]

Dear all

Please find attached an interesting PhD opportunity at the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London.

The 3-year PhD position will be jointly supervised by Dr Charalampos Saitis (QMUL), Dr Christine Cuskley (Newcastle University), and Prof Massimo Poesio (QMUL). The research project builds upon the ‘Seeing Music’ exhibition and game (https://www.seeingmusic.app/), developed by Dr Saitis and Dr Cuskley. It also relates closely to the QMUL strategic research theme of ‘Social Interaction, Health and Wellbeing’ (https://tinyurl.com/muunysf5), and to research around citizen science and games-with-a-purpose.

Note that this call is open to home applicants only. For more information please see: https://epsrc.ukri.org/skills/students/guidance-on-epsrc-studentships/eligibility

Let me know if you have any questions. Applicants are encouraged to contact me (c.saitis@xxxxxxxxxx) before submitting their application—please send an email with your CV and draft research proposal.

Best wishes

Charis
