Hello all – Wanted to spread the word about an exciting new Gordon Conference called ‘Neural Mechanisms of Acoustic Communication’, or
NMAC, that is scheduled to happen in person July 31-Aug 5, 2022 at Mt. Holyoke College in
South Hadley, MA (flyer attached).
NMAC will bring together an interdisciplinary group of researchers to better understand how the brain encodes and produces vocal signals.
Participants will include speech researchers as well as those working in a variety of model organisms, and topics
include vocal development, interactive speech, auditory specializations, genomics, predictive coding, and cortical mechanisms of vocal production.
