Applications are invited for the following positions:
* Postdoctoral Research Fellow to study the Electrophysiology of Natural and Complex Stimulus Perception in Humans
A postdoctoral research position is available to investigate how the human brain encodes complex and natural stimuli such as speech, music, and video, and how that encoding is affected by attention and multisensory input. Much of the work will focus on modelling brain responses to such stimuli in healthy, neurotypical adults – including modelling how the human brain processes linguistic meaning. However, there will also be opportunities to carry out research involving patients with schizophrenia and adolescents with a diagnosis of autism.
* Laboratory Technician – EEG Lab manager.
A lab technician position is available to support projects on how the human brain encodes complex and natural stimuli. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of biomedical and electrical engineers, neuroscientists and cognitive scientists. This person will perform complex and varied research laboratory assignments, including scheduling of human subjects for experiment participation and collecting both psychophysical and neurophysiological measures from those subjects.
To apply for either position, please submit a CV, short cover letter and contact information for two referees to Dr Edmund Lalor at
