Noise problems will limit the public acceptability of drones. The role is to carry out psychoacoustic research to unravel the complex relationship between the sounds of drones, context and human response. The successful candidate will develop psychoacoustic
metrics optimised for drones. They will work in a leading research group to develop cutting edge research to address the noise issues related to the design and operation of drones, to aid drone stakeholders to ensure community acceptance, and contribute to
the sustainable expansion of the sector.
