Dear Colleagues,
apologies for cross-posting.
We are looking for a Research Assistant in Spatial Audio and Virtual Reality (18 months full-time, possible extension to 24 months), to work on the project
'Both EARS training package (BEARS) to maximise hearing abilities in teenage bilateral cochlear implant users'. This 5-year project is funded by NIHR, and includes partners from other UK universities (e.g. University of Cambridge, UCL, University of
Nottingham, etc.) and NHS Trusts (e.g. Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, etc.).
The successful candidate will lead the design and development of the VR-based audio-visual environments and application. This is going to be based on a head-mounted display system (Oculus or iOS), and is going to include advanced immersive audio features,
such as the inclusion of the 3D Tune-In Toolkit (https://github.com/3DTune-In/3dti_AudioToolkit).
More information can be found at the following link:
I'd like also to remind you about other two positions that are available in the Audio Experience Design group at Imperial College:
Please circulate this message across your contacts, if you believe it's relevant.
Best
Lorenzo
