Research Engineer, Signals, Systems, and Simulations.

GN Hearing, a leading manufacturer of Hearing Health devices, is looking for a Research Engineer to build a scalable test framework for current and future algorithms and work across multiple acoustic domains: virtual, physical, electro, and psycho. Your focus will be the performance evaluation of adaptive methods within the hearing device using both modelling and machine learning techniques. As part of the research team, you will work across different disciplines and must be able to connect both professionally and personally with the global research group.

Areas of responsibility:

• Establish a scalable test framework to verify and validate early-stage research
• Evaluate performance of adaptive systems in hearing devices across multiple acoustic domains
• Use modelling and machine learning techniques to establish baseline performance, evaluate prototypes, and compare with state-of-the-art
• Continuously improve existing metrics and introduce new metrics

Education:

• Ph.D. or equivalent experience in one of the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Neuroscience, Biomedical engineering, Psychoacoustics

Experience:

•  Preferred 2 - 3 years of research experience in psychophysics or equivalent graduate level research
• Modelling of signals and systems
• Machine Learning
• Virtual and physical acoustics
• SW Engineering
• Adaptive systems
