Hello all, In May, the Technical Committee on Psychological and Physiological Acoustics (P&P) of the Acoustical Society of America launched a “Task Force on Remote Testing,” with the goals of identifying and coordinating information about the practice and impact of remote testing on research by P&P investigators, both during the COVID-19 Pandemic and beyond. Over the past four months, the task force has worked to assemble useful information and present it in an online form, which is now open to the public. We chose to use a Wiki format to best align with the goal of maintaining a “living document,” so that corrections and additions can easily be made as remote testing evolves. If you can, please visit the Wiki and let us know about any additional or updated content you would like to see included. Remote Testing Wiki: http://www.spatialhearing.org/remotetesting Contents include -A consideration of issues, challenges, opportunities, and best practices for remote testing -Survey of hardware, software, and online platforms available to support remote testing -A collection of examples, case studies, and tutorials submitted by investigators (please consider adding to this!) -Links to resources, including manuscripts and websites with useful information -Information about the Task Force itself, how to get involved, and where to get in touch Thank you for your attention. I look forward to hearing from you! Chris Stecker Center for Hearing Research Boys Town National Research Hospital on behalf of the ASA P&P Task Force on Remote Testing |
