Dear colleagues,
We are excited to bring you MusicLab 5: Lockdown Rave, a music science event happening online this Friday starting at 13:30 UTC. Acclaimed algorave performers Renick Bell and Khoparzi will be performing from Japan and India, respectively. Audiences will be
raving along at home. The concert will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A between the performers and researchers Jonna Vuoskoski and Qichao Lan. Çağrı Erdem will be data jockeying, unveiling some of the mysteries of music research.
It would be greatly appreciated if
you could attend
as a participant or a viewer. Participation
is anonymous and involves downloading the MusicLab application that records body motion and filling out a survey about your nationality, personality, musical experiences, and concert appraisal. We ask that participants wear a shirt with a pocket so that the
phone can be worn on your upper body. We are also asking participants to stand for the concert as you would at a real rave. The Android version of the app can be moved to the background, but the iPhone version cannot and the screen must remain on. Therefore,
please come with charged phones! Please share with your networks!
