The Acoustics Group at the University of Oldenburg is looking for
a PhD student in auditory perception
Salary is according to E13 TV-L, 65 %.
We are looking for candidates
to work on a three year project focusing on
the role of auditory stream segregation in speech perception. As part of the project the contribution of various auditory grouping cues to speech intelligibility will be investigated with dedicated listening tests.
The acoustics group offers an attractive environment with research covering auditory perception, computational auditory scene analysis, new technologies for sound reproduction,
and sound quality research for automobile and aviation. The University of Oldenburg is known for its wide range of activities in hearing research and offers an excellent environment for a PhD project in auditory perception.
The successful candidate is expected to conduct research in auditory perception leading to scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and to contribute to the
teaching and supervision of students.
The candidates must have an academic university degree (Master or
equivalent) in physics or electrical engineering or equivalent.
Experience with auditory perception and audio signal processing
will be beneficial.
