[AUDITORY] RA position available in Music and the Brain

The Music, Imaging, and Neural Dynamics Lab (web.northeastern.edu/mindlab) at Northeastern University, Boston, MA, is looking to hire a full-time benefits-eligible research assistant to help with ongoing research projects in the cognitive neuroscience of music. The Lab is part of the Center for Cognitive and Brain Health (https://web.northeastern.edu/cbhlab/) at Northeastern University's Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Complex, and provides an intellectually vibrant environment for researchers who study the science of music, and its effects on brain and cognitive health.

The research assistant will be responsible for designing and administering behavioral, EEG, MRI, and genomic research protocols, recruiting and scheduling human participants across the lifespan, collecting and analyzing behavioral and neuroimaging data, and writing and presenting scientific research. Motivated candidates will be invited to be co-authors on manuscripts and to present research at conferences.

Bachelor's Degree or beyond in Neuroscience, Psychology, Music, Computer Science, Statistics, and/or a related field. Interest in behavioral and neuroscience research and/or music perception and cognition. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented. Able to work well both independently on a self-directed basis and in a team. Preferred qualifications: Strong quantitative skills. 2 years of human subjects and neuroimaging research experience. Experience with Unix, Matlab, Max/MSP, Python preferred.
