Re: [AUDITORY] American English speech database for intelligibility tests

Dear Delphine,

Many of the speech materials that are in the public domain can be found on the VA CDs developed by Richard Wilson and now available from the DOD Hearing Center of Excellence.

Description is here:
https://www.rehab.research.va.gov/jour/93/30/3/pdf/wilson.pdf

Link for ordering the two CDs is here.

I also highly recommend the free corpus of IEEE sentence recordings in Midwest and Pacific Northwest dialect available from the UW Phonetics lab. The quality of the recordings is very high, supporting phonetics work as well as audiology (unlike the majority of other available IEEE recordings).

There are other materials that are available for purchase from Audiotec

The QuickSIN can be purchased from Etymotic

Dear all,

I am looking for a speech database in American English for standardized intelligibility tests (sentences for HINT, SPIN, CST, monosyllables,...). Do you know how I can get such recordings?
Thanks in advance!
