[AUDITORY] 13th ICBEN Congress on Noise as a Public Health Problem, June 15-18 2020



Dear colleagues in the fields of sound, noise and health,

The 13th ICBEN Congress on Noise as a Public Health Problem will be held in Stockholm, Sweden next year (June 15-18, 2020). We are presently welcoming contributions on the following topic areas (abstract deadline on 27th of January 2020):
  • Noise-induced hearing loss
  • Noise and communication
  • Non-auditory health effects of noise
  • Effects of noise on cognition, performance and behaviour 
  • Effects of noise on sleep
  • Community response to noise and noise annoyance
  • Noise policy and economics
  • Noise exposure assessment in health effect studies
  • Special topics related to noise effectsLow frequency noise and vibration

Keynote Speakers:
Irene Van Kamp, Senior researcher and project manager, National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (NL)
Sharon Kujawa, Director of Audiology Research and Senior Scientist, Eaton-Peabody Laboratories and Harvard Medical School (USA)
Jenny Selander, Research Group Leader, Karolinska Institute (SE)
Marco Paviotti, Policy Officer at the European Commission

The congress is hosted under the auspices of ICBEN, by the Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institutet.
