IERASG 2019

"IERASG 2019 Down Under" - the 2019 International Evoked Response Audiology Study Group Conference, to be held at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia provides opportunities for people with an interest in auditory evoked responses to come together for a free exchange of ideas between senior and newer researchers in a supportive environment.

The abstract submission deadline has been extended to Monday 15 April 2019.

If you want to submit an abstract for the event please go to

https://events.mq.edu.au/IERASG2019-Abstracts

Registration for the event is also up, including information about accommodation, a detailed event schedule, important dates and travel information. These are all accessible through the main page, which can be found here:

Highlights

Apart from an excellent line-up of papers on diverse auditory evoked topics including otoacoustic emissions, auditory brainstem responses, vestibular evoked myogenic potentials, cortical evoked responses, and event related potentials, highlights of the conference will be the opportunity to visit the Hearing Hub research facilities, and to see Sydney from the water. We are very pleased to welcome Professor Linda Hood as 2019 Hallowell Davis lecturer. Linda is Professor of Hearing and Speech Sciences at Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and has been a welcome participant in IERASG over many years. Linda has has used a range of auditory evoked responses in her research which focuses on physiology of the auditory system at cochlear, subcortical and cortical levels.

Workshops

An exciting line-up of workshops has been arranged for Sunday 30th June, including Dr Andrew Dimitrijevic’s highly-regarded EEG processing workshop, workshops lead by Professor Katherine Demuth on sentence processing and eye tracking, a workshop lead by Professor David McAlpine on fNIRS (functional near-infrared spectroscopy) and Dr Fabrice Bardy’s introduction to machine learning for EEG processing workshop. There will be no charge for students attending the workshops, but priority will be given to students who have a paper or poster accepted for the conference. Workshops are open to people registered for the full IERASG2019 conference.

Hope to see you all there,

Very best,

Mridula Sharma, Bob Cowan, Bram Van Dun and Fabrice Bardy
