An addendum to my previous message: Our function stimulusMake() also takes a frequency and amplitude for the carrier waveform, so even though the previous function call that I sent works, we should specify a frequency and amplitude. These come right after the carrier parameter in the function call. In the case of white noise, it does not matter what the frequency parameter is, but we can specify the maximum amplitude of the noise. So the below function call is correct, for e.g. an amplitude of 1:

s = stimulusMake(1,'fcn',[0 1],44100,{'noi'},1,1,'iter',0.005,5);
