[AUDITORY] Postdoc and PhD openings in Max Planck Research Group "Neural and Environmental Rhythms"

Dear colleagues,

I’m happy to announce openings in the Max Planck Research Group “Neural and Environmental Rhythms” for postdocs and PhD students. The group, led by Molly Henry, seeks to understand how our experience of the auditory world (speech, music, etc.) arises from the interaction between neural rhythms and the rhythms of sounds. The projects will make use of psychophysics, magneto- and/or electroencephalography (M/EEG), and noninvasive brain stimulation. Start dates are flexible, with earliest possible in spring 2019.

The group is housed at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics in Frankfurt, Germany. The Institute investigates the attentional, cognitive and affective mechanisms of aesthetic perception and evaluation.

Specific information about the position, requirements, and application materials can be found here for postdocs (https://www.aesthetics.mpg.de/en/the-institute/jobs/postdoc-position-max-planck-research-group-mh.htmlhttps://www.aesthetics.mpg.de/en/the-institute/jobs/postdoc-position-erc-max-planck-research-group-mh.html) and PhD students (https://www.aesthetics.mpg.de/en/the-institute/jobs/phd-postion-language-and-literature.html).

The closing date for applications is Jan. 15, 2019.

Please feel free to circulate to colleagues who may be interested, and to get in touch with questions.

Kind regards,

Molly J. Henry
