A research audiologist position is available in the Cochlear Implant and Hearing Aid Research Laboratory in the Oregon Hearing Research Center at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, USA. https://www.ohsu.edu/xd/health/services/ent/research/cochlear-implant-lab/ The lab focuses on binaural fusion and spectral integration, and how these affect speech perception in quiet and in noise.
Methods include psychophysical testing, electrically-evoked compound action potentials, and cochlear implant and hearing aid re-programming.
Other projects include the design
of novel training and compensation strategies to improve speech perception with hearing devices. These questions are studied in adults and children with normal-hearing,
hearing loss/hearing aids, and cochlear implants. Requirements include: 1) an Au.D. degree in Audiology; 2) Experience with designing psychophysical experiments and
working with human subjects; 3) Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Preference will be given to individuals with experience with working with and programming cochlear implants and
