Dear colleagues, One fully funded PhD stipend on Characterization of and alleviation for hearing-aid users with
low compensation benefit has been re-opened for application at Aalborg University as part
of the BEAR project. It is the aim of the PhD project to explore options for alleviation of these patients’ hearing problems, and to obtain more knowledge about the characteristics of these patient populations. The work will include the consideration of electrophysiological measurements and/or psychoacoustic procedures, which are not currently used in the typical clinical situation. The work will also include proposals for supplementary profiling and alleviation strategies. Further information can be found here:

hearing rehabilitation (BEAR-hearing.dk) with financial
support from the Innovation Foundation Denmark and partners (incl.
Widex, GN Resound, Oticon, DELTA a part of Force, the University
of Southern Denmark, the Danish Technical University, and the
University Hospitals in Odense, Aalborg and Copenhagen). The case
populations, methods and technological platforms for the studies
are determined in close collaboration with other partners, and
