Job Description:
Rush University Department of Communication Disorders & Sciences invites
applications for a tenure-track position in Audiology with a starting day
of July 1, 2019. Primary responsibilities include teaching in the Au.D.
program, research and scholarly pursuits, student advisement and clinical
service in the qualified candidate’s area of expertise.
Qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in Audiology or a related field with
previous experience in teaching, research, and clinical service consistent
with expectations for a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor
level. An Illinois license in Audiology or eligibility is required.
Preferred areas of expertise include amplification and (re)habilitation,
but candidates with a track-record of research and scholarly productivity
will be considered in all areas.
The individual will hold a faculty appointment in Communication Disorders
and Sciences. The Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) environment
facilitates interprofessional collaboration with colleagues in
speech-language pathology, otolaryngology, neurology, pediatrics,
psychology, geriatrics and other specialties.
