The Acoustics Group at the University of Oldenburg is looking for
a PhD Student in auditory perception in reverberant environments
Salary is according to E13 TV-L, 75 %. The position is suitable for part-time work
We are looking for candidates with an academic master degree (or equivalent) in physics, or a related discipline, to work on a three-year PhD project. The project focusses
on auditory perception in reverberant (virtual) environments
with the goal to evaluate the applicability of simulated acoustic environments for speech perception research, and to investigate how auditory perception capabilities in reverberant conditions develop across the life span.
The acoustics group offers an attractive environment with research covering auditory perception, computational auditory scene analysis, new technologies for sound reproduction,
and sound quality research for automobile and aviation. The University of Oldenburg is known for its wide range of activities in hearing research and offers an excellent environment for a PhD project in auditory perception.
The successful candidate is expected to conduct research in auditory perception leading to scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and to take on some teaching
responsibilities.
