At least one Postdoc in Cognitive Hearing Science
formally based at the Department of Behavioural Studies and Learning

The Disability Research Division conducts groundbreaking theory-driven research in disability research in collaboration with Örebro University and Jönköping University within the framework of the Swedish Institute for Disability Research (SIDR). Spearhead research in Cognitive Hearing Science is conducted at Linnaeus Center HEAD, part of SIDR. The HEAD research core consists of a multidisciplinary team of senior researchers, postdoctoral and doctoral students, as well as national and international partners.

Duties
A Postdoc will essentially carry out research. The position may also involve teaching, but during no more than a fifth of work time. The focus of the research is Cognitive Hearing Science. The postdoc is expected to investigate mechanisms behind sensory and cognitive aging. This will be achieved by analyzing existing cross-sectional and longitudinal data from large databases such as UKBiobank, the Betula Study of Cognitive Aging, and our own N200 database on aging, hearing loss and cognition as well as by collecting and analyzing new data. Design and implementation of experimental studies in the field of cognitive hearing science may also be required. Therefore, the applicant must have a doctorate in cognitive hearing science, cognitive psychology, audiology, hearing science or related field. Furthermore, the applicant must be able to demonstrate scientific skill in quantitative methods, in particular statistical processing of large amounts of data. Experience of statistical processing of brain imaging data is preferred as well as publication in the field of disability science.

Qualifications
The position requires a doctorate or an equivalent degree from a foreign university. The doctorate shall have been obtained no longer than three years before the expiration date of the application.

Appointment time
A Postdoc is appointed until further notice, but for no longer than two years. The appointment can be renewed if there are special reasons.
