[AUDITORY] Post doctoral position Kresge Hearing Research Institute, University of Michigan



A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of Prof. Susan Shore to study neural circuitry underlying tinnitus generation and reversal.The position is funded by a recent Brain Initiative R01 award from the National Institutes of Health (NIMH).Salary will be commensurate with the NIH scale for postdoctoral fellows, starting at $47,484.The Research Fellow will participate in a highly collaborative environment within and outside the Kresge Hearing Research Institute at the University of Michigan. Multichannel electrophysiology, tract tracing, immunohistochemistry, behavioral and optogenetic techniques will be incorporated in this investigation.The successful applicant will also interact with a human clinical trial testing a novel circuit modulation for reducing tinnitus.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have Ph.D. in neuroscience, bioengineering, or a related discipline.Preference will be given to applicants with experience in electrophysiology and behavioral techniques.
