Assistant Professor in Psychology and Music, Tenure Track
NYU’s Department of Psychology and the Music and Audio Research Lab (MARL) are looking for scholars and innovators at the intersection
of music, neuroscience, and psychology. We are seeking applicants willing to help us push disciplinary boundaries and redefine the future of their fields through their research, teaching and outreach, and by contributing to methods and foundational knowledge
in neuroscience. Applicants with research focus on auditory perception and cognition including specifically for music, audio signal processing, machine learning, biological and machine hearing are encouraged to apply. This position is part of a new center
in Psychology focusing on the study of language, music and emotion, and a significant expansion of MARL, including multiple tenure-track hires and new state of the art facilities. A doctoral degree in an applicable field is required.
