[AUDITORY] CfP: Workshop on Intelligent Music Production 2018

The Workshop on Intelligent Music Production (WIMP) may be of interest to those working in MIR, acoustics, psychoacoustics, and related fields.

Call for Proposals
 

We welcome submissions on aspects of Intelligent Music Production, these include automated mixing and mastering, semantic audio, MIR, user interface, user experience, perception/cognition, etc.

Proposals for presentations should be submitted in an abstract (up to 150 words) in PDF format, and be sent to s.m.fenton@xxxxxxxxx. The deadline for submission of abstract is 6 July, 2018. Acceptance notification will be made by 13 July and will be asked to submit a full paper (max. 2-3 pages in a double column template to be issued). Final paper submissions should be made by 20 August, 2018 and emailed to s.m.fenton@xxxxxxxxx.

 

Accepted submissions may be made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0) – contact the workshop Chair (h.lee@xxxxxxxxx) if a different license is desired.

 The works will be presented in the form of a dedicated poster session during the event. All delegates including presenting authors will have to register to the event.
 

Important dates:

Abstract submission by 6 July, 2018
Acceptance notification by 13 July, 2018
Paper submission by 20 August, 2018

 

Call for Demonstrations

 

We welcome submission of demonstrations of systems/work from both academia and commerce that include/consider some aspects of Intelligent Music Production. Proposals for demonstrations should include the following:

  • A 200-300 word demo description which includes any technical and/or space requirements
  • Author’s bio(s)
  • Additionally participants may also include a link to a short demonstration video showcasing the technology and/or activity to be demoed (less than 4 minutes in duration). The link should use unrestricted streaming-only services such as Vimeo and YouTube (optional).
 

This information should be submitted in PDF format, and be sent to c.dewey@xxxxxxxxx. Whilst the committee welcomes the submission of short demonstration videos to support a proposal, this is optional and not an explicit requirement of a demo proposal submission.

 

The deadline for submission of the demo proposal is 20 July, 2018. Acceptance notification will be made by the 27 July. All delegates including presenting authors will have to register to the event.
