Dear colleagues, Two fully funded PhD stipends are open for application at
Aalborg University as part of the BEAR project. 1) Patient-driven diagnostics and hearing-aid fitting, Hearing-care practitioners have only limited time for a
hearing-aid fitting, and often most of the powerful features of
modern hearing aids are not or only to a very limited extent
fitted to the individual needs of the hearing impaired. A
patient-driven process may also provide an advantage to users that
may benefit from controlling progress themselves, but the user
control may also result in non-optimal adaptation to the aided
situation. Further information can be found here:

with low compensation benefit The topic of the position relate to the situation of individuals,
who experience hearing problems, but have low compensation benefit
from regular hearing-aids. Further information can be found here: http://www.stillinger.aau.dk/vis-stilling/?vacancy=978420 The positions are part of a Danish project collaboration for better
hearing rehabilitation (BEAR-hearing.dk) with financial
support from the Innovation Foundation Denmark and partners (incl.
Widex, GN Resound, Oticon, DELTA a part of Force, the University
of Southern Denmark, the Danish Technical University, and the
University Hospitals in Odense, Aalborg and Copenhagen). The case
populations, methods and technological platforms for the studies
are determined in close collaboration with other partners, and
utilizing on-going work. Deadline for application is June 14, 2018! Only applications following instructions in the call, will be
considered. Professor, PhD Aalborg University |
