Dear all, We have a PhD studentship available in Nottingham: Neural indices of listening effort and fatigue in unilateral cochlear-implant users with and without a contralateral hearing aid. Jointly funded by Action on Hearing Loss and Advanced Bionics.
The project will involve using simultaneous pupillometry and optical brain imaging (fNIRS) to study effortful listening in adult CI users, as well as assessing whether the use of a contralateral HA (“bimodal hearing”) can help reduce listening
effort/fatigue. Details:
