Re: [AUDITORY] connecting ER2 earphones to old TDT sys3 module

The ones we have are old and have dual monos.

Thanks!

ER2s have a phono plug. You can buy a phono to BNC connector so that you can patch directly into the HB7. As for the ER10b (to presumably measure OAEs), use a pair of ER2s for inputs as specified for the 10b. The ER2s are fantastic at low frequencies (provided correct coupling/sealing to the ear) as they are specifically designed for human input, or any human-appropriate animal model that hears low frequencies (e.g. not mice or rats), measurements with the 10b mic.  Be sure to calibrate the system before testing!

I have something of an odd question. I need to find an adaptor to connect my ER2 earphone dual-mono male to a single bnc output on a TDT HB7 headphone buffer. Does anyone have a good source for hard to find audio connectors?

Alternatively, can someone recommend a low frequency sound source that can couple with an ER-10B? Our usual equipment is used for testing mice, and we need something that will not have a lot of harmonic distortion below 4 kHz.

Thanks!
