[AUDITORY] Masters and PhD funding at UCL, Birkbeck, and SOAS



Although the following advert is for a Linguistics funding scheme, it can be used for a wide range of speech and language topics. Students have been funded for work on speech in noise, hearing-impaired speech recognition, listening effort, neural entrainment to speech, TMS investigations of speech production, and aphasia.

ESRC Linguistics studentships through the UCL, Bloomsbury & East London Doctoral Training Partnership

More than 40 studentships funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) are available at one of the largest Doctoral Training Programmes in the UK. We are inviting applications for both PhD and combined masters + PhD funding.

Linguistics training at UCL, Birkbeck and SOAS covers a broad range of specialisms including experimental speech and language sciences, quantitative and corpus linguistics, fieldwork-based language documentation and description, language acquisition and disorders, critical discourse analysis, language policy and practice, language education and intercultural communication.
