Listent America Corp located in Bothell-WA is a medical device company focusing on developing advanced signal processing algorithms for cochlear implants and hearing aids. We are seeking talented speech/audio engineers who can help develop and implement new signal processing algorithms on emerging DSP platforms. The Speech/Audio DSP engineer will design, implement and validate a variety of speech and audio signal processing algorithms for hearing devices.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the President and work collaboratively with team members in Seattle-USA and Shanghai-China
- Design novel signal processing algorithms and perform acoustic analysis in Matlab
- Implement the algorithms on the company's DSP platforms
- Create and maintain engineering documentations to comply with product-related policies and procedures
- Provide assistance in product verification and validation to meet medical device standards
Requirements:
- BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering or related field
- Strong MATLAB programing experience is required
- Experience of programing DSP platforms in C or assembly language will he highly preferred
- Familiar with speech and audio signal processing theories and applications
- Extensive experience in using Matlab for digital filter design and speech analysis (e.g. FFT, FIR/IIR filters, and WOLA filter bank etc.)
- Strong code debugging and problem solving skills
- Advanced ability to work well with other and as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
