I'll add these more recent papers as well. The Tinnitus Functional Index is a measure that captures many of the important aspects described in the 2008 article. (Full disclosure: many of these folks work at the NCRAR with me)

I’m interested in assessing tinnitus symptoms in a test population and was wondering if there was a consensus on the best practice for doing so (i.e. which is the preferred or least controversial rating scale? Do you feel a given assessment method has flaws or substantial pros)?
