[AUDITORY] Reminder- Call for Papers NHCA 2018

The Call for Papers for the 2018 NHCA Conference is now open. Please CLICK HERE for more information and links to submission form. NHCA will only be accepting electronic submissions. The submission deadline is August 11, 2017.

The Call for Paper process will ask you to complete information on the following items so please be prepared:

THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE UPLOADED IN THE CALL FOR PAPERS FORM:
- AAOHN Biographical/Conflict of Interest Form for primary presenter and all co-presenters (required by AAOHN CNE credit approval)
- ASHA Conflict of Interest Forms for primary presenter and all co-presenters (required by ASHA for CEU approval).

Scholarship Foundation Award Opportunities:

 

Student Research Award

During the fall semester of each year NHCA will select up to two Students or recent graduates (e.g. AuD, PhD, MS, MD) in fields related to hearing loss prevention/hearing conservation at accredited US institutions for research awards. For a list of past recipients click here.  The awards are for completed research (such as dissertations, theses, and special projects) in the related fields. Recipients are expected to present their work at the upcoming or one of the future annual conventions of the NHCA. The recipient(s) will receive a cash award of $500.00 and up to $2000.00 for travel and registration expenses following their presentation at one of the annual conferences of the NHCA. Receipts must be submitted for reimbursement of reasonable travel and registration expenses which are limited to $2000.00. The receipts should show that the expenses are reasonable and not exorbitant (e.g., Coach fare versus first class fare).

Student Conference Award

The Scholarship Foundation of the National Hearing Conservation Association (NHCA) is pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of student conference awards for the Annual NHCA Conference.

The Student Conference Award (SCA) includes paid registration to the annual conference and a stipend of up to $800 for travel expenses. This one-time Award is available to students who are actively pursuing a graduate degree in a discipline related to hearing conservation and who are enrolled at least half-time in an accredited university program.  Previous recipients of the NHCA Student Conference Award include masters and doctoral-level students in audiology, human factors engineering, industrial hygiene, and public health, from a variety of universities across the country.  For a list of previous recipients click here.  Interested students must submit the online application no later than August 4, 2017.(12:00 PM EDT).  A recommendation letter is required.  Students who have previously received a SCA are not eligible.  To apply for this award click here.
