[AUDITORY] PhD opportunity (-ies), Manchester (UK)

Dear list

A fully-funded PhD studentship is available with the NIHR-funded "Manchester Biomedical Research Centre in Hearing". The project is "Factors affecting hearing aid performance in noisy environments". For further details, please see https://www.findaphd.com/search/ProjectDetails.aspx?PJID=83554&LID=1020

The project would suit a student with a physics/engineering/signal processing background, and with an interest in auditory perception.

The Manchester Biomedical Research Centre in Hearing has close ties with local hospitals, the University of Manchester as well as industrial partners.

A second, fully-funded studentship, is potentially available.  This is similar in plan to the previous, but would also involve measures of EEG.  However, there are restrictions on eligibility.

If you would be interested in either studentship, please feel free to contact me directly.

sincerely

Michael Stone
