[AUDITORY] CMMR 2017, Porto & Matosinhos, Portugal, September 25th-28th -- Deadline Extension



Dear Auditory list,

Due to numerous requests we have chosen to extend the deadline for submissions for CMMR 2017 until Sunday 23rd April (23:59 in Baker Island. UTC/GMT -12 hours). Please note this is a hard deadline and there will be no further extensions.

The 13th International Symposium on Computer Music Multidisciplinary Research (CMMR 2017) will be held in Porto and Matosinhos, Portugal, on September 25th–28th, 2017: http://cmmr2017.inesctec.pt

CMMR 2017 is organised by the Sound and Music Computing Group at INESC TEC,  the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos (OJM) and AMU-CNRS-PRISM. The theme of CMMR 2017 is Music Technology with Swing.

CMMR will take place at CARA - (Centro de Alto Rendimento Artístico) in Mastosinhos. It is CARA’s mission to promote the dialogue between art, science and technology, namely through multidisciplinary projects that aim at the research and development of solutions for the creation, fruition and dissemination of creative content. By hosting CMMR at CARA we seek to mirror these aims by bringing together a diverse and vibrant community of researchers and musicians that encapsulate the different perspectives of computer music multidiscplinary research.

The conference includes a scientific programme with oral presentations, posters and demos. It also features a music programme with daily concerts, including one by the Orquestra Jazz de Matosinhos.

The confirmed keynote speakers for CMMR 2017 are:
Peter Vuust (Aarhus University, Denmark), Margaret Schedel (Stony Brook University, USA), Carlos Guedes (New York University Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) and Amílcar Cardoso (University of Coimbra, Portugal).  

We invite submissions for papers, music, and demos that span the field of multidisciplinary music research, but especially those aligned with the conference theme. The full list of topics and further instructions about the preparation of submissions can be found here:

All submissions in both the scientific and music tracks will be subject to peer review. Submitted papers must conform to the CMMR 2017 templates which are available on the conference website.

Please note the following important dates:
23rd April, 2017 - Paper / Music / Demo submission deadline
9th June, 2017 - Notification of acceptance
2nd July, 2017 - Camera-ready deadline
9th July, 2017 - Author registration deadline
28th July, 2017 - Early Registration deadline
25th - 28th September, 2017 - CMMR Conference
