Company Description:
Established in 2015, G'Audio is a Los Angeles based start-up with a proprietary technology that synchronizes what one sees with what one hears. While visual effects have advanced for 360-degree settings, audio technology has not been in sync with them. The conventional surround system which always provides the same sound no matter where one looks at or moves to, is still used for VR content and this significantly hinders the immersive experience. With G'Audio’s solutions, technology that reflects the users’ head movements and position can be best leveraged for VR contents and the team is looking to redesign the future content creation and consumption journey by collaborating with the right partners
Company Achievements:
- The company’s binaural rendering technology was adopted as the ISO/IEC international standard (MPEG-H 3D Audio) in 2014
- Successful debut at the Audio Engineering Society Los Angeles 2016
- Raised $4.8M in investment from various venture capital companies
