Postdoctoral Research Associate in Auditory Neuroscience

The cluster of excellence Hearing4all unites a vibrant community of auditory researchers at the Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg, the Medizinische Hochschule Hannover and the Leibniz Universität Hannover. Its paramount goal is to transform audiology into an exact science based on the interaction between experiment and theory, as well as between basic science and clinical research.

The successful candidate will work in basic research on animal models. Currently, our work is focussed on in-vivo physiological characterization of gerbils with normal hearing and with a hearing pathology, e.g., by recording single-unit responses from the auditory nerve. We are seeking highly motivated candidates who are excited about probing auditory function at the systems level. Extensive experience in animal neurophysiology or proficiency in Matlab programming is essential, ideally both.

The position is available immediately. The full ad for this position can be found can be found at http://hearing4all.eu/EN/Jobs/Postdoc_Auditory_neuroscience.php. Prof. Christine Köppl (christine.koeppl@xxxxxx) is happy to answer further questions.
