2 PhD positions in Salamanca, Spain

Two PhD scholarships in binaural hearing with cochlear implants and 
hearing aids are available at the laboratory of Enrique A. Lopez-Poveda, 
University of Salamanca (Spain). Candidates should be highly 
enthusiastic, have a Master’s (or equivalent) degree, excellent written 
and oral communications skills, and good command of the Spanish and 
English languages.

PhD position 1. Applications are invited from clinical audiologists (or 
candidates with related clinical backgrounds) with experience in fitting 
cochlear implants and/or hearing aids. Candidates that are fluent in 
German and experienced in the use of Matlab are preferred.

PhD position 2. Applications are invited from audio signal-processing 
engineers (or candidates with related engineering, physics, mathematics 
or technical backgrounds) with excellent programming skills in Matlab. 
Candidates with experience in real-time programming are preferred.

The research will be carried out in a multidisciplinary, international 
team of researchers. For more information about the research group, see

Funding is provided for three years, the typical duration of a PhD 
research project in Spain. Candidates will need to apply for admission 
to the Neuroscience program of the University of Salamanca. Admission to 
the program is subject to compliance with the program requirements (see

Positions are available immediately. A first round of applications will 
be reviewed by July 30th but applications will be considered until the 
posts are filled.
